Bar Kantoor has room for a new Assistent Restaurant Manager!

Creativity, responsibility, guest interaction, managing and working with a fun and professional team, an open and professional kitchen, making guests happy with your team. The feeling of owning your own restaurant and being part of an informal, sustainable and ambitious chain with four hotels, two restaurants and two coffee bars...sounds good? Read on!

Bar Kantoor - Restaurant (103 seats), private dining, a bar & a large terrace (150 seats)

With a special concept and versatile all-day dining menu, Restaurant Bar Kantoor is the place to be. Guests can walk in any time for breakfast, business lunch, course dinner with all their friends or just for a cozy drink. Guests can order from the dinner menu until 10:30 p.m., whether they want to go for a surprising salad or splurge with a three- or four-course menu. On weekends, guests can work some overtime, and the doors of Bar Office are open until 1 a.m.

Our products are organic and come from local suppliers, and the kitchen uses all kinds of special techniques to cook as sustainably as possible. We are proud of this beautiful concept, and love to share it!

What are you going to do?

  • Make guests happy. They come back for more and that is because of the delicious food and the good service, but if a guest is not so happy, you make sure that the guest always wants to come back to us!
  • Managing the team on the floor: you set the lines and ensure that everything runs smoothly operationally.
  • You are co-responsible for handling group requests, training & development of the team, making the schedule, SOPs, placing orders and making sure with the team that the stock is up to date
  • Collaborating with your team so they, like you, can get the most out of their job and growth. You will work with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the team is trained
  • Co-creating and developing the beverage and menu. Will there be a new menu? You help think about which sustainable products will be on the menu in the near future. Of course you taste the products and the menu: because nothing goes on the menu before it has been Conscious proof tested

Job Requirements and Personal Qualities

  • You don't see this one coming: you have passion for F&B
  • The thought of running a full Restaurant Bar Kantoor with the team energizes you
  • You have been working for some time, preferably 1 year in a similar position
  • You love the flexibility and variety of this position - every day and part of every day is different
  • You want to save the world but are not a sustainable doorbitch ;)
  • You have knowledge of HACCP and food safety
  • You speak at least good Dutch and English
  • Preferably you live in or near Amsterdam
