We are Conscious Hotels, we have four stylish eco-hotels in Amsterdam. That's not all, in the hotels you'll also find two organic restaurants and two coffee bars. We also host meetings, events and weddings. We want our guests to have a great time, so we're always thinking of fresh, creative ways to connect with them. We call that "Eco-Sexy. Big Smiles".

Bar Kantoor - 103 seats indoor, private dining & a large, sunny terrace (150 seats!)

Bar Kantoor is the most cozy 100% organic restaurant in Amsterdam! Our top team is ready for our guests from early in the morning until late at night. Whether they come for breakfast, coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner; it's all prepared with love in our 100% electric kitchen and bar. Sustainable entrepreneurship is something we are very familiar with. We therefore only work with seasonal products and local suppliers. Anyways! Our guests are welcome throughout the day and can sit at a table in our attractive, monumental building or on our large, sunny terrace.

What you will do

  • Make guests happy. They come back for more and that's because of the delicious food and good service

  • Managing the team on the floor: with you at the wheel, every shift runs smoothly

  • Co-creating and developing the drinks and menu. Will there be a new menu? You think about which sustainable products will be on the menu in the near future. Of course you taste the products and the menu: because nothing goes on the menu before it has been Conscious proof tested.

  • You place orders and make sure the stock is up to date.

  • Collaborating with your team so they, like you, can get the most out of their job and growth. You will work with the Restaurant Manager and Team Lead to ensure the team is trained

Job Requirements and Personal Qualities

  • You don't see this one coming: you have passion for F&B

  • The thought of running a full Bar Kantoor with the team energizes you

  • You have been here for a while, preferably 1 year in a similar position

  • You love the flexibility and variety of this role - every day and part of every day is different

  • You want to save the world but are not a sustainable doorbitch ;)

  • You have knowledge of HACCP and food safety

  • You speak at least good Dutch and English

  • Preferably you live in or near Amsterdam
