A great dinner doesn’t just start in the kitchen, it starts in the glass. And that’s where you come in! In the heart of Amsterdam, you’ll find The Lobby Nesplein: a vibrant meeting place where gastronomy, wine, and genuine hospitality come together. From relaxed lunches to refined dinners and long evenings around the table, every moment is about creating memorable experiences. With an open kitchen, a warm atmosphere, and a wine list that continues to surprise, The Lobby is a place where guests love to linger. It’s a restaurant where attention to detail, exceptional flavours, and outstanding service are at the heart of everything we do, and where every service is as dynamic as the city itself.
As a Sommelier, you are the link between the kitchen, the wine cellar, and our guests. You know exactly how the right wine can elevate a dish and how thoughtful recommendations can turn dinner into an unforgettable experience. With your enthusiasm, expertise, and passion for hospitality, you create memorable moments at every table.
Throughout the day, you prepare for service alongside the team, check the wine inventory, and contribute ideas for exciting additions to the wine list. When service begins, everything comes together. You confidently guide guests through their wine selections, ensuring every glass perfectly complements the dishes being served. Whether recommending a beloved classic or introducing guests to an exciting hidden gem, you know how to make every recommendation personal and memorable.
You'll have the opportunity to deepen your passion for wine, discover new labels, and actively contribute to the development of our wine selection. In an environment where quality, growth, and hospitality go hand in hand, you'll continue to challenge yourself and develop your expertise. No two days are the same, and every service offers a new opportunity to surprise and delight our guests.
