Night Receptionist for our brand-new hotel!

We’re hiring for our opening team for the brand-new hotel at Oosterpark!

We’re looking for new team members to join us at our brand-new hotel by the Oosterpark! Very soon, we’ll open the doors to an exciting new chapter: a sustainable hotel with breathtaking views, rising high above the buzz of the city. Our fully renovated building will feature 88 spacious rooms and 7 stylish serviced apartments – all with floor-to-ceiling windows and views that’ll fill up your camera roll in no time. To help put our new hotel on the map, we’re looking for an enthusiastic team of Night Receptionists.

What you will do

Night animal, evening person, call it what you will. As a Night Host you are responsible for the night. You are the superhero who helps our guests in the evening with checking in, checking out, and maybe makes a nice cup of coffee or tea for them (for those who can't sleep ;)). You clearly have an affinity for hospitality, so you can help guests with whatever they need, for example a wake-up call at 5:00 in the morning, or help with their bags. Of course, you answer the phone with a smile and a "Good morning". You can work well independently, and that's okay, because you are the contact person in the evening for our guests. You don't mind that this entails a lot of responsibility: a troubleshooter, that's what you are!

For the night shifts, Night Audits are also part of your tasks, just like checking and reporting deviations. You know your way around the fire alarm system and always have the safety of our guests (and yourself) as your highest priority.

Job Requirements and Personal Qualities

• Hospitality is in your DNA. You are not afraid to make contact with guests and you enjoy helping them

• You have experience in (international) hotels or restaurants, preferably in the nights

• You speak English fluently

• Flexible (not necessarily in an acrobatic way). This means that you are willing to be flexibly scheduled at our various locations, including weekends and holidays. Though the shifts are always from 23:00 - 07:00, for 3 days per week (24-hour contract) - so you know what you are signing up for!

• Preferably, you live in or close to Amsterdam

• You are independent and have a great sense of responsibility, as you are alone at night and responsible for the hotel and thus the safety of guests

• Preferably you already have a BHV certificate (and thus HACCP knowledge)

• It is a big plus if you have affinity with sustainable trends and organic products

• Have fun; also very important of course :)
