We are Conscious Group, we offer the most sustainable stay and a seamless guest experience in a fun atmosphere. We have 4 sustainable hotels, 2 organic vegetarian restaurants and 2 coffee bars in Amsterdam within Conscious Hotels, and together with Hotel V & The Lobby we have grown to a total of 7 hotels and 4 restaurants.

Conscious Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the F&B Manager will be responsible for overseeing all restaurants and coffee bars within the cluster of hotels. The individual will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a sustainable and community-focused dining experience.

What does the role entail?

  • Operational Excellence: oversee the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to brand standards and collaborate with Restaurant Managers to optimize workflows and operational efficiency.

  • Team Leadership: provide leadership and support to Restaurant Managers and F&B staff and foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Quality Assurance: monitor and maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service, while implementing and enforcing hygiene and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Menu Development: collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to develop innovative and sustainable menu offerings and ensure menu offerings align with Conscious Hotels' brand values and cater to diverse guest preferences.

  • Financial Management: manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue opportunities and collaborate with the Head of Operations on financial planning and forecasting.

  • Guest Satisfaction: monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to enhance the dining experience and address and resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: collaborate with the sustainability team to integrate environmentally conscious practices into F&B operations and implement and promote sustainable sourcing and waste reduction initiatives.

  • Training and Development: develop and implement training programs for F&B staff to enhance skills and ensure consistency in service delivery and identify and nurture talent within the F&B team.

Job requirements

Job requirements and personal qualities

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an F&B Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations and trends.

  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to Conscious Hotels' values.
