We are Conscious Hotels, we have four stylish eco-hotels in Amsterdam. That's not all, in the hotels you will also find two organic restaurants and two coffee bars. We also organize meetings, events and weddings. We want our guests to have a great time, so we always think of fresh, creative ways to connect with our guests. We call that "Eco-Sexy. Big Smiles."
To make this possible, we are looking for a Facility Manager. In this position, you will have the important role in our daily operations to ensure a smooth process and direct the operational teams in this. You will work on these projects together with the Head of Technical Service, the Rooms Division Manager and report to Head of Operations. You will also be involved in projects such as renovations and new hotels working with the Project Bureau and will be responsible for liaising with the supervisors and area manager of external housekeeping.
What will you do ...
- Drafting, management and implementation of the Long-term Maintenance Plan (MJOP)
- Coaching/directing the Head of Technical Services.
- Contract negotiations and management of external maintenance parties regarding technical installations
- Optimization of gas/electricity/water consumption
- Preparation of monthly reports on Technical Services and Housekeeping
- Management and implementation of safety and periodic maintenance requirements
- Drawing up an annual Business Plan for the Technical Services and Housekeeping departments
- Coordinating and executing the opening of new hotels and renovations in existing hotels in cooperation with Project Bureau and Head of Operations.
- You are member of the Large Management Team
- Operational contact with external cleaning company
- Weekly quality checks of rooms and public areas
- Purchase of facility-related non-food products including inventory/storage management
- Responsible for waste management
Job requirements
Job requirements and personal competencies
A college degree in the direction of Facility Management;
At least three years of experience in a similar position;
A real go-getter; you can arrange everything and do not shy away from a challenge;
You are a natural leader, solution-oriented, strong analytical, communicative and have a coaching leadership style;
Proficient in Dutch and English;
Experience in the hotel industry and/or a technical background is a plus;
